Start Your Entrepreneurial Journey at the Startup Challenge

If you've been percolating an innovative idea and are ready to hustle, mark your calendars for October 13-15, 2023. The Sacramento Startup Challenge is rolling back into town, and trust me, you won't want to miss this adrenaline-packed weekend that embodies the very spirit of startup culture. Here’s why:

A Weekend of Execution, Not Just Ideas

This isn't your average weekend gathering where entrepreneurs only talk shop. This is a bootcamp for action takers. You get to pitch an entirely new idea—or join a team that's pitching one—and work around the clock to transform that idea into a viable startup. Your time starts Friday evening and runs through Sunday, and it’s going to be one of the most exciting weekends of your life.

The Initial Pitch and Team Formation

The event kicks off at 5 PM on Friday with networking, dinner, and a pitch session. Got an idea you've been eager to launch? Here's your platform. You have a mere 60 seconds to pitch your vision, and there's one caveat: it has to be brand new. We're talking zero prior work—no websites, no customers, nada. If pitching isn't your thing, don't worry. You'll have the chance to join a team later, often based on the ideas that get the most votes.

A Guided Hustle: Mentorship and Resources

Let’s be real: turning an idea into a business in less than 48 hours sounds challenging. But that's the essence of this Startup Challenge. You'll be flanked by experienced facilitators, mentors, and subject matter experts who will guide you through this rapid development process. You'll have all the resources—food, coffee, snacks, and expertise—at your disposal.

The Sunday Night Pitch

After a whirlwind of work, you get to present your new startup to a panel of judges on Sunday night. And let's be clear, this is not just about the idea; it's about showing how far you've come in executing that idea. Winning teams get amazing prizes, including cash, which can be instrumental in taking your startup to the next level.

Don't Miss Out!

Remember, this event is the highlight of the Sacramento startup scene and sold out last year. So, don't delay; it's time to shift from thinking to doing. To borrow the event’s motto: "Forget the Talking, Let’s Get Doing!"

See you there!
